Podcast#161: Jimmy Cornell with High Latitude Challenge

No one has inspired more sailors to cross oceans than Jimmy Cornell. It is 40 years since he founded Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). Now, he has launched a new concept: High Latitude Challenge, which will take adventurous sailors in his wake to the Antarctic and through the North West passage.

He launched the challenge at the end of last year and already has over 30 boats interested for the start in 2026. In this podcast we talk about the high latitudes, climate, and his sailing career that stretch over 200.000 nautical miles.

Check out Cornell Sailing for more information about the High Latitude Challenge, and please also check out all the books he has written. No onboard bookshelf is complete with at least three books from Jimmy Cornell.

If you are interested in High Latitude Sailing, I have written a book by the same tittle together with Bob Shepton. You can buy High Latitude Sailing on Amazon.
